Hello all,
It's been a super busy semester for me as a student. This week is finals and then FREEDOM! I'll be busy for a little bit doing training and orientation for a new job, but then I am going to get ETSY back up and running and start some new leather projects among other things. Right now I am working on a leather guitar strap with a beautiful rose pattern tooled onto it. I am also working on making a pokeball out of wood for a friend of mine, I'm doing all of the carving and hard stuff, and she wants to paint it. Pictures will be posted when these are finished!
Thank you for reading!

Favour to ask, and I quite understand if you would perfer not - I've opened an Etsy site can I link to yours in the circle thingy?

Sure that would be fine. And I live way away from the coast so no worries of hurricanes here.

Thanks,
I'd clicked that you were same time zone as me and it did occur that you might be one of the people in N.Jersey.

How the pewter going?:)
I've loved pewter ever since I was a teenager and found an art nouveau pewter vase amongst some junk.

it's going. I only have the class once a week. I just started shaping it last week. I'll finish shaping it this week and then start sanding level and flat the edges that will be soldered together.

Sounds cool, I know absolutely nothing about working lead alloys - flat "butt" seam?

It's going to be another piece of pewter put in between the two ends to create like a step or a lip. The professor said that doing it that way and soldering one side on the inside of the flask creates less problems with leakage because there's more area to work on that way or something.
